NEW EXCERPTS FROM THE "NOW AND FOREVER BOOKS"

Thank you for stopping by. I'm sharing a few unpublished snippets today from "Now and Forever 1, a Love Story" and "Now and Forever 2, the Book of Danny."

NOW AND FOREVER, A LOVE STORY
Mac tossed a throw pillow at her. She threw it back. Things escalated into a full-fledged pillow fight. Mac retreated to the bedroom. Callie walked into a pillow ambush. She went down,
laughing, but jumped up again. Callie dove for the bed. Mac followed her. She pummeled him with pillows. He laughed and grabbed her wrists, subduing her.

    "Give up, Dean?" Callie sneered.
"Never! Never give up, never give in!" He hollered.
She struggled to pull away and was surprisingly strong, but he overpowered her easily. Mac pulled her closer to him, winding his arms around her and falling back on the bed. She fell on top
of him, pretending to be ferocious, but didn‘t fool him as she melted into his arms.
He kissed her hard on the mouth, his tongue teasing her and she responded, winding her arms around his neck. His hands pulled her hips closer, melding their loins. One kiss led to two.
Mac rolled them over on their sides. He pulled up her shirt, she unzipped his pants. It wasn‘t long before their naked bodies were wound up together in a heated embrace.

A little bit about the book

Callie Richards was no stranger to heartache. Her parents were killed when she was sixteen. Left with her older sister, she fell into a romance with good-looking, Kyle Maine. They became engaged and Callie’s future was set until he was killed in Iraq. Two years later, she pulls herself together to get her Master’s degree and restart her life on her own.

Working and studying at Kensington State University, Callie meets Mac Caldwell, the handsome dean. Together they fall in love, then fight a deadly campus drug ring with heart-breaking results. This is an emotional story, not a cookie-cutter romance, that will make you laugh and cry as Callie struggles to make a new life, find love and her happy ending.

NOW AND FOREVER 2, THE BOOK OF DANNY (in paperback this week!)
Eliza melted as the fire he ignited inside her threatened to consume her, the more he kissed her, the more she wanted him. The floodgates on her pent up feelings opened. His hand cradled
her breast. When his fingers closed around it and squeezed gently, she felt a sexual charge flash through her body like lightning.
“I’ll stop whenever you want to,” he whispered in her ear, but Eliza knew she couldn’t stop...didn’t want to.
She said nothing, moving her arms around his neck, inching closer to him and losing herself in the passion spreading throughout her body. He moved his free hand to her inner thigh, rubbing his thumb lightly over her smooth skin, creating a strong desire…heat she hadn’t felt in years. Her breathing became ragged.
“Let’s go,” she said, pulling away from him and opening the car door.
Inside, she took his hand and led him into her bedroom. Danny took her in his arms and kissed her as Eliza moaned and pulled up his T-shirt, running her hands up his chest. He ripped the shirt over his head and tossed it on the floor, then stepped back.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” he asked her, his eyes glowing with excitement.
She nodded, breathless, her body trembling.
“I want you so much,” he said, reaching for her.
Years of frustration turned into undeniable, uncontrollable desire, filling Eliza with an unbearable heat. Danny’s breathing became ragged, his body taut and his eyes on fire with passion. They took their time undressing each other, trying to slow things down. Danny flipped open her bra with one hand and then eased down her panties smoothly, showing more experience than Eliza expected at his age.

A little bit about the book

What so special about The Book of Danny is that the main character is an ex-Army man. I love Danny. He came to me and told me his story of love and loss and I was compelled to write it. Danny is an imperfect man, sexy as hell, smart, educated, but stuck with the horrors of war messing up his life. With help from friends, family, a counselor and the people of a small town, Danny is able to break through and overcome the obstacles keeping happiness just out of his reach. The story is very emotional as Danny was raised by his brother, Kyle, who was subsequently killed in Iraq. Kyle’s death filled Danny with rage, so he went there to get revenge. But he lost some of his humanity there as well as got shot up. His return and search for the right woman, fulfilling work and a place to settle feels very real. I think Danny will grab your heart in a way no other hero will.
