A Riot of Fall Color from Central Park in New York City

Central Park puts on a show with a cornucopia of color. I want to share this with all my friends who live in climates that don't have this dazzling display, especially for Robert Wacaster. Enjoy my tour through the park.

We enter at 77th Street and Central Park West.

A robust red stands out from the gold, orange brown and green.

Strolling up past West 81st Street

We encounter red again as we approach the Great Lawn

"Going for Gold"...that's for Kellie Kamryn, title of her new book!
Gold on the left and the Shakespeare-in-the-Park theater on the right, out of the picture.
Some trees stand out by themselves. Like this one.
And this one, taking its time.
A little view of the
skyline of Manhattan.

Another view of the skyline from the Great Lawn.
Still walking around the Great Lawn.

Another tree stands out.

Back to the theater and then we see some color combinations...

We passed Gismo, our favorite pugdy Park pug and head out of the park at 81st Street and tony Central Park West a street with its own symphony of color.

Hope you enjoyed the show. Please leave a comment to tell us what you think. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Wow, I love the photos. I live in the new forest and we do not get colours like that. Really beautiful!

  4. Kellie, thank you, but that's not my pug. My pug is Homer, who is not overweigth. Gismo is a character, I love him.
I'm surprised, if you live in a forest, you don't get colors like these. Central Park looks like a Disney set for about 10 days, the colors are amazing and every corner you turn brings new combinations. So glad you all like my pix.

  5. Beautiful, and the best part is now I got my exercise for the day so don't have to walk again!

  6. Gorgeous, Jean! And some great inspiration for the other two books that will be set in NY. Thank you very much for sharing. I'm kicking myself for not getting the chance to walk through there while I was in NY over the summer. It's definitely on my list of places I MUST see next time around. :)
