Grr! Okay, let it out - short rants welcome. What is one of your pet peeves? Here are three of mine:

1) Can't stand jealous people. Jealousy is one of the most destructive emotions. It breaks down friendships and families with hatred and resentment. And it's a total waste. Jealousy never builds anything up, it only tears down -- destroying the person who lets it into their hearts.

2) Gotta say people who are late, chronically late, annoy the heck out of me. They show little respect for others, by assuming their time isn't nearly as important.

3) People who show no respect for others' choices. If people would show basic respect for each other, we'd all live safer, happier lives. Tolerate, don't hate.

What is your pet peeve? Leave yours in a comment. I'll post the top ten in a few days.

Thank you for coming!

Authors in Bloom Blog Hop - Giveaways, recipes and flowers!

Welcome! I'm offering my recipe for lamb stew, a dish that has a key role in my new football romance novel, Griff Montgomery, Quarterback, first book in my First & Ten series.
GIVEAWAY - I'm giving away 20 copies of my new short story, SWEET LOVE REMEMBERED, the giveaway starts today!

Blown apart by a heart-rending tragedy, Matt and Perri Jessup went their separate ways; he to Afghanistan and she to New York City. With loss, acrimony and heartbreak coming between them, was there any reason to stay together? Would a chance meeting five years later bring back old recriminations and accusations? Could they build a bridge between them or was the gulf to wide to cross?

Here's a snippet:

The day he was due back, Lauren made his favorite—lamb stew. As it simmered on the stove, she finished up some important calls. She jumped as two large hands encircled her waist and lips tickled her neck. Griff’s expensive aftershave, her favorite scent along with his own, wafted to her nose, mixing with the aroma of the mouth-watering stew.
She ended her conversation abruptly and turned. He kissed her hard, pressing up against her.

A bit about the book
He wanted a wife. She didn’t want to get married – ever.  Not exactly a match made in heaven. Ten years ago, Griff Montgomery, star quarterback of the Kings and womanizer, became a stand-in father for his widowed sister’s kids. After they moved away, Griff wanted his own family. But where does a “player” go to find his ideal mate?

Having sworn off marriage forever, Lauren Farraday barely kept her life together after her divorce. With her career shaky and depression closing in, the last thing she needed was a courtroom battle with a sexy athlete.

Wary of Griff’s reputation with women, and hiding a secret, Lauren holds on to her heart.  Can the quarterback handle the truth or will he walk away, like he has in the past?  BUY LINKS
