Tuesday Tales - Word Prompt - "Mouse"

Welcome! This week the word prompt is "mouse", or any form of the word. We're back at "The Kicker's Story" Part 1. Don't forget to read all the stories this week. You'll find them HERE

Robbie showed up early for practice. He’d been having some trouble with his hamstring and wanted to ask the Kings’ trainer about it. He couldn’t afford to have any trouble with any muscle or tendon in his legs.

The hamstring was in his left, the non-kicking leg. Still, he used that leg to brace himself, and support the kicking leg. His left leg probably supported most of the weight when he kicked.

When he entered the training room, Assistant Coach Josephs was working with Bull Brodsky. Dale Sawyer, the team’s physical therapist was there. Robbie leaned against the door jamb and watched her work.

Her short dark hair glistened in the morning light pouring through the window. Slender, she had an athletic build. Robbie loved that look, female athletes turned him on. He’d had more than a few warm his bed. Gymnasts were his favorite. They could perform amazing feats in and out of bed!

Dale was professional. She’d never even looked at Robbie, even though he was probably the best-looking guy on the team. She talked and smiled at Bull, encouraging him. Yeah, sure she was cute, but kind of mousy. Definitely not his type. He liked sexy, bolder women, women who thought they could tame him and bring him home.

He loved the challenge a scheming woman held for him. She figured she’d lasso him into marriage. He enjoyed the game and foiling her plans.

Dale presented no challenge. She genuinely wasn’t interested in him. While he quietly took offense at her stand-offish attitude, he’d shrug and figure, “who wants to sleep with a mouse anyway?”

That's all. Thanks for stopping by

  1. Why is it that I'm looking forward to seeing Mr. Arrogant taken down a peg or two? Great scene.
